Shooting cocaine/Klonopin (clonazepam) X-POSTED [Dec. 3rd, 2004|08:42 pm]
Hi all-- I began shooting cocaine about a month ago, and have done it a couple days a week since then.

{holy cow, this turned into a really long list of questions! Any answers I can get would be great, but I understand if there are just too many to respond to....}

I started using it to help me kick my Klonopin habit (I didn't take a lot-- about 5mg. a day, but I was hooked and accelerating my use)-- I couldn't get totally off of it by tapering, so quit cold turkey. Not a good idea, but the only way I could stop. The coke definitely help quell my withdrawal symptoms, and at first, they worked against each other so that I didn't feel the effect of either. Then the Klonopin was all out of my system and I finally really felt the coke rush. It's very nice, though my main interest is in the actual shooting of any drug (I know that I have a predilection for addiction to opiates, so won't do heroin).

* Anyone have links to hard facts about the danger of overdosing on coke when shooting it? (I know that it probably varies greatly from batch to batch)

* Will taking Klonopin help counteract a coke OD? (I have a friend that uses the Klon. to come down from coke)

* Though I prefer to only shoot up in the presence of another person (for safety reasons), there are times that it is not an option-- are there ways I can help myself if I do OD?

{all of these questions makes it seem as if I am terrified of OD'ing, but I just like to know how to safeguard myself}

* Is there a way to test the coke for purity that I can do myself? And is there a way to judge a safe dose (other than eyeballing it! yikes...)?

* Are there other drugs that can be injected that might be a safer alternative to coke? (I tried just shooting up saline, but it just wasn't the same)

Also, is there a way to get the cut out of coke? I just found this online, but it is only in reference to snorting it, not to injecting it:

take a small amount of powdered cocaine - 1/4 to 1/2 a gram - and dissolve it in maybe a cubic inch of water. add a drop or two of vodka or other ethanol. stir it. the cocaine dissolves into the water, leaving the cut(s) on the bottom

Cooking-- I usually don't cook the coke&water before shooting it, as someone told me that cooking it can dissolve the cut into the water more, making me shoot up more of the cut along with the coke. Is this true? When I don't cook it, there is usually a thin sediment of white, crystally stuff at the bottom of the spoon, that doesn't seem to get sucked into the needle because it gets stuck on the cotton.

Oh, yes, and the cotton-- it is used to filter impurities out of the water, right, as well as to cushion the needle so it doesn't bend/barb? Does it also filter out the cut from the coke? And when I run out of coke, is it safe to combine a few cottons, add water and use that for shooting up? (I don't get quite the rush I do with the straight coke, of course)

Thanks so much to anyone that has made it through this tome!

Thanks so much-- I really appreciate your taking the time to answer my questions...

I don't reuse cottons any more (I've taken to popping them under my tongue when I am about to take a hit so that I am not tempted tp use them again-- that way I still get to use the residual coke without sticking it in my vein), and I always always always try a small hit before using more of ANY batch, even if it is supposedly from the same source...

Have a great day....

No problem, helping people with using drugs safely is something I love to do. From what you've said, it looks like you're now doing a very good job of being careful. Keep it up and you'll never have to worry about an overdose. Good job, it's people that throw off these kinds of precautions and OD that give people like us bad reputations. I'm glad I could help
